No Two Watches are the Same

The no two watches are the same program is our pre-owned watch certification process whereby a watch is taken through an extensive inspection, serviced and given an official certification by WatchFacts®. This is where the watch's history begins.

The program assists buyers, sellers and collectors. Whether it's a single owner watch, a regularly serviced watch or a watch with a unique history or owner, it is important to remember that "no two watches are the same." Our program allows buyers and sellers alike to distinguish watches so that prospective buyers can make a well-informed decision and sellers can derive more value on their sale. As a result, buyers will have a greater tendency to purchase the watch if they are confident that the watch has a clean chain of title, functions as it should, and was recently serviced. Additionally, on the reverse side, sellers realize that buyers are willing to pay for such peace of mind and are encouraged to properly care for and maintain their watches.

To qualify for our definition of a "pre-owned certified watch", the watch must pass a theft check, meaning that is has not been reported as lost or stolen, and it must be serviced by one of WatchFacts®'s centers. WatchFacts® utilizes its service repair network to inspect watches, which in turn helps WatchFacts® to determine if the watch is certifiable. If the watch is certifiable, WatchFacts® offers complimentary service repairs during the warranty period. Additionally, if the watch is sold, the service warranty is transferable; however, a certification transfer is required. WatchFacts® recognizes that not all used watches can qualify for certified pre-owned programs, and terms vary from one type to the next. If problems are found, the manufacturer-certified technicians affiliated with WatchFacts® will fix the watch or disqualify the watch from the program. The certified warranty protection program established by WatchFacts® takes effect when the watch leaves the service facility and lasts for one (1) year.

It is significant to note the benefits of purchasing a certified pre-owned watch versus purchasing a used watch from a private party or an unknown dealer. By purchasing pre-owned watch certified by WatchFacts®, you will know what you are buying: a fully functioning, recently serviced watch that has been graded through our WatchFacts® Score Program. Our affiliates are manufacturer-approved, which means their facility and credentials must meet high-standard specifications. Additionally, you will be buying a watch that a certified watchmaker has inspected to ensure that it is worthy of certification.
